My name is Garrett Shea and welcome to my Synaptic Portal. I am a multi-faceted creative with traditional art foundation and extensive design, photography and programming skills.
I’m a UX/UI and visual designer with a passion for creating intuitive, engaging digital experiences—whether on web, mobile, kiosk, or beyond. I blend modern design principles with current UI trends to craft interfaces that are not only functional but enjoyable to use.
In addition to interface design, I specialize in visual storytelling through infographics and video animation. I also bring development skills to the table, with experience in popular programming languages and CMS platforms. Currently, I work on the WordPress CMS for NASA.gov, helping shape a seamless user experience for a global audience.
With a foundation in fine arts and graphics, my portfolio spans logo creation/brand identity, advertising/marketing, social media campaigns, and motion/video, as well as exhibit and experiential design. I stay up to date with emerging design trends and technologies, always looking to evolve and refine my skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, painting, and photography—I need creative outlets that keep me inspired and grounded.
